What Makes Your Day?

A couple of weeks ago, my cell phone died an unexpected death and I asked, What Ruins Your Day?  Well, since then, I’ve had a bit of an attitude adjustment, and I’d like to ask a different question.

What makes your day?

Is it the big things?  The little things?  The expected?  The unexpected?

Here’s an unexpected dose of grace that made my Friday.

To the gratest mom in the world!

From you dater Anna.

Dear mom,

I love you with my holl hart! Anyway, I’m so ecited that its Friyday, and I get to spend time with you!  When Nicks gone at his sleepover, and were here, we should think of something fun! Like having girls night out, or watch a movie.  Something like that!

Love,

Anna

What makes your day?  Just as important, what can we do today to make somebody else’s day?

That is too cute!

A good and unexpected laugh will do it or even connecting with a stranger.

As I write this, I hope you and the girls are having a blast, whatever you are doing. Today 4 things made my day. #1. Went to the Dr. for my two year physical and I was down 6 1/2 pounds. #2. Spending the day with my husband (who's usually working) in Amish Country. #3. Getting an unexpected package in the mail - the book I won from YOU! #4. While writing a check at Giant Eagle the cashier asked me what kind of mascara I used because my lashes looked so good. Did she realize that she was asking that to a 64 year old grandmother????
In the scheme of life these are really trivial things (with the exception of getting to spend a Friday with my husband). When I think that the King of the universe loves and cares for me more deeply than I can imagine, now THAT makes my day everyday!

When I stepped out on my front step yesterday afternoon, there was a big package there from my mom. It contained three adorable outfits for my baby girl. That totally made my day.

I agree, it's the little things. And Linda, wow. What a day! I can't remember the last time I got a compliment from the cashier on my make-up !!!!
