Starbucks Give-Away For Coffee Snobs Only!

Coffee cup with spoon on napkin

Are you a coffee snob?  Are you high maintenance?  If the answer to either of these questions is yes, you’ve come to the right place.

Today, at Working Mommy Wednesday, we're talking about the "must haves" to get us through the day.

For me, my two "must haves" are coffee and prayer.

I'll talk about prayer another day.  Today, let's talk about coffee.

It’s no secret that I love my coffee.  Not just any coffee.  I like the good stuff.  Some of you know that I gave up coffee for Lent last year.  And it nearly killed me!

When Doug and I go camping with the kids, we bring our own coffee pot and Starbucks.  You guessed it, I’m a high maintenance camper.  I realize Starbucks and camping don’t go together for most people, but I like to break stereotypes.

So you can imagine how frazzled I was on our last camping trip when we ran out of our coffee!  I went over to the “camp store” to buy a cup, thinking I would just have to suck it up and drink the cheap stuff.  I took a sip and thought I was drinking water.  I nearly choked.  In a complete panic, I headed to town, relieved to find the local Starbucks.

Maybe I sound like a total snob.  I'm sorry.  I can do without a shower and some basic hygiene every now and then, but please don’t ask me to drink yucky coffee.

If you’re a coffee snob or you just love coffee, please let me know.  Everyone who leaves a comment on this post will enter a drawing for a Starbuck’s gift card.  Winners will be announced on Friday.

(By the way, I don't know about you, but these four-day weeks require extra coffee.  I'm traveling this week, so please forgive me if I don't respond to your comments until tomorrow!)

For whatever reason there is no coffee like Star Bucks. Why is that? It seems almost unfair that I can't replicate its yummy goodness at home. Good thing they're in just about every book store I frequent. I love how my two loves have converged in a perfect union!

I LOVE coffee. I, too cannot do without that lovely brew. My husband doesn't understand that no matter the time of the day, a steaming cup of coffee always makes it better.

I'm with on the 4 day week thing - I'm thankful for the "longer" weekend, but it completely throws everything out of balance. I feel like I'm trying to play catch up all week! I must admit that I am not a coffee drinker at all, but I do love the smell of it :)

Just starting to see the need for coffee....as one child has started school and we are starting a new routine (to work by 6:30 a.m.). Need that caffeine somehow.

I am a coffee snob and I admit it freely! I keep my reloadable Starbucks card on my keychain. There, I've said it. :)

I can't believe you gave up coffee for Lent! That's incredible!! Last year I gave up chips and salsa if that tells you anything. Cheers!

Starbucks is the best - no doubt about it! And as the mother of a newborn, it is literally a craving first thing in the a.m. If I win that Starbucks gift card, you can be rest assured it'll be put to swift and good use.

I like coffee any way you give it to me EXCEPT for watered down yucky mess. I prefer good ol' Folgers but my runners up are Dunkin' Donuts, McD's & Starbucks.
I'm so like you, when we camp, there has to be coffee! Last time, we took the Keirug & it was wonderful!

I LOVE my morning coffee! My morning routine is to get up before my husband (I'm retired and we're empty nesters),usually around 6:30 AM, make my coffee in my one cup at a time french press, and have coffee with God. I hope He doesn't mind if I sip while I talk to him. By the way, french press coffee makes any brand taste good. I only do Starbucks on my weekly Tuesday grandma trek up to Cleveland.

I can so relate to the coffee snobbishness!I LOVE my coffee and when I go camping this November I will be bringing some strong yummy coffee. I won't be able to have my Keurig but at least it will be home quality not darkened water! lol!
I had that happen once on a road trip. It was 2am in the middle of the night and I stopped at a convenience store. Needing coffee I was happy to see a pot full. Sadly, the coffee was awful.

I can relate! Although for me, I'm not as picky about what kind of coffee I drink as long as it has lots and lots of the goodness that is caffeine. I can't get by most mornings without at least 3 or 4 cups.

Absolute coffee snob here...and Starbucks is my fav. I love rich, dark, strong coffee. Would definitely bring it on a camping trip...if I camped, that is.

When I need my coffee, I NEED my coffee!

Okay, okay, I'm not a mommy. Let's get that out on the table. But I am a Starbucks addict, all the way. I have a Starbucks gold card with my name on it. I am there at least once a day, every day of the week. Like you, my day isn't complete without my Starbucks coffee. I have the Starbucks locater app on my i-phone so that wherever I travel, i can find the nearest Starbucks. I love New York and Boston because there is one on just about every corner.

There, are you convinced?

Not so much a fan of Starbucks but I love D. Donuts coffee - so I consider myself a coffee snob and YES I have to have my coffee in the a.m. If I won the SB Giftcard I would surely share with the SB fans!!

As I sit at my desk holding a jumbo-sized Starbucks mug loaded with Ethiopian Fair Trade Coffee, I admit, yes, I am a coffee snob. As a consultant, I often use coffee shops as a stop in between client meetings - where I can get a caffeine charge and get some work done. I enjoy Starbucks and have even ordered a quad.

I tried to give up coffee for Lent one year...it was kind of like my second grade year when I gave up Scooby-Doo. It just didn't last too long!

Susan DiMickele said...

Wow. There are some serious Starbucks fans here. A Starbucks gold card? I-phone app? A quad? I thought I had seen it all. The drawing is going to be random, but I'd buy you all a cup if I could! Winners announced tomorrow.

I'm not a coffee snob. A wine snob, yes. But not a coffee snob. :-) ...

But I do love coffee.

When it comes to coffee, I'm easy to please: dark and strong and brewed every morning by my favorite farmer.

Susan DiMickele said...

Jennifer - don't even get me started on wine! I knew I liked you. I always say Jesus liked good wine - he didn't turn the water into cheap stuff, did he?
